Are we addicted to method?

Q: Are we addicted to method?

I realise this is a pretty general question, but I want to put it out there anyway as a conversation starter. Yeah, I know it needs clarification and a context, but I want you do do that.  ;)

Well I will go first....

We're addicted to method definately. Look at the typical Sunday Service or anything the typical church does, very predicatible and not much room for the moving of the Holy Spirit, very much oneway. If you look at the Early Church, there was not much in the way of method all the gifts operated all the people participated, and it was orderly, reason being their total focus was Jesus, not the worship style not the prayer style, not the children's story or the bible reading etc. How Awesome

I don't know if addicted to method is as accurate as saying we are hard wired to method. As much as I wanted to prize myself as a ministry out of the box thinker, I found myself reverting to the traditional mode at times. I think it was because I was wired that way early on and probably because method is easier, I became lazy.
